About 71Asia Tours
A China-based tour operator owned by the UNODEJULIO travel group in Madrid — designing and running private journeys across China for travellers from Europe and the Americas since 2013.
Who we are
71Asia Tours (registered as UNO DE JULIO VIAJES SL, tax ID ESB86736014) is a tour operator with a foot on each side of the world: an office in Madrid, where the company was founded in 2013 as part of the UNODEJULIO travel group, and licensed operations on the ground in China, with local agencies in Beijing and Chongqing.
That structure is the whole point. A European traveller planning China needs someone who answers in their language and takes responsibility under European consumer rules — and then needs someone standing at the airport in Chongqing at 6 a.m. with a sign and a working phone. We are both. Bookings are contracted in euros with a Spanish company; the tours themselves are delivered by our own licensed Chinese operation (Chinese Travel Agency Business Licence L-CQ-100970; Spanish Travel Agency Licence C.I.C.MA 2884).
We are not a marketplace and we are not a reseller of other people's coaches. Every product on this site is one we operate: private tours, day trips, entrance tickets, airport and intercity transfers, and Yangtze river cruises — each one designed around what actually works on the ground, not around what fits a bus.
What we do differently
- Guides who actually speak the language. Not "Spanish-speaking" as a box ticked by a translator app. Our lead guide in Chongqing lived in Madrid for more than twenty years. Guides are licensed, and they are the ones who handle tickets, restaurants, hotels and the 3 a.m. logistics problem.
- Private by default. Your group is your group. No strangers, no fixed departure dates, no waiting for the slowest person on a 40-seat coach.
- Zero shopping stops. Nothing in our itineraries exists because a shop pays commission. There is no pearl factory, no jade museum, no tea ceremony that ends in a checkout queue.
- Instant confirmation. Availability, payment and vouchers are confirmed online in seconds, in euros, through our booking engine — not "we will get back to you within 48 hours".
- Flexible in practice. Itineraries are adapted before you arrive and, where tickets allow, changed on the day.
- Same team for agencies. Travel agencies resell the same inventory through our partner portal and XML/API — the tour a partner sells is the tour we run.
Where we operate
We sell and operate across China's classic first-visit circuit and its best second-visit detours:
- Beijing — the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, hutong walks and high-speed departures.
- Shanghai — the Bund, the old town, Zhujiajiao and Suzhou connections.
- Xi'an — the Terracotta Army, the city wall and the Muslim Quarter.
- Chengdu — pandas, teahouses and Sichuan food.
- Chongqing — our base: the 8D night skyline, Hongya Cave, hotpot and the Two Rivers cruise.
- Zhangjiajie — the Avatar mountains, Tianmen and Wulingyuan.
- Tibet — Lhasa and the plateau, with the Tibet Travel Permit arranged for you.
- Hong Kong, Macao and Taipei — add-ons that pair with any mainland itinerary.
Languages, currencies and how to book
We work in English and Spanish — the two markets we know best — and we take bookings in euros. You can book online on this site with instant confirmation, buy a gift card, add travel insurance for China, or write to us directly and have a human design the trip with you.
What travellers say
Independent reviews of our tours are collected on our reviews page, on TripAdvisor and on GetYourGuide. We would rather you read a review written by someone who paid their own money than a paragraph about ourselves that we wrote.
