It is known as the world’s largest single indoor dynamic immersive theatre , equipped with a 360° rotating auditorium and five-ring rotating stage . The stage can present more than 60 million scene combinations, realistically restoring old Chongqing scenes such as ciqikou wharf, stilted buildings, mountain-city streets and revolutionary sites . The theatre combines high-tech effects including 3D visuals, surround sound, aerial wire work, seat vibration and special lighting , creating a highly immersive performance experience. Chongqing · 1949 — The Red-themed Show Chongqing · 1949 is a large-scale red-themed immersive stage drama. Set in Chongqing on the eve of liberation in 1949 , the show tells the story of revolutionaries’ unyielding faith and fearless sacrifice. It focuses on: The firm belief and heroic deeds of revolutionary martyrs; The fate of a family amid great changes of the times; The historical memory of Chongqing before liberation. With a duration of about 70 minutes , the performance uses a revolving auditorium so the audience can follow the plot and experience different scenes dynamically.
